In addition to these key members there is also a strong representation from supporting businesses that include legal, finance, consultancy and recruitment organisations. Our members account for up to 70% of the UK’s Gross Gaming Yield (GGY) making the GBG the most significant representation of Gambling Businesses in the UK.

About Peter
Since the creation of the Gambling Business Group at the start of 2014 Peter has been the Chief Executive Officer for the organisation. Prior to that, he was CEO for Business in Leisure, part of the Business in Sport and Leisure organisation and headed up its Gambling Working Group. Peter was also instrumental in creating the P3 Group which is now the Industry Group for Responsible Gambling (IGRG) that leads on Responsible Gambling Initiatives for the UK Industry. For the last seven years Peter has also been delivering specialist expertise to the Gambling Industries in both the UK and Europe, ranging from business start-ups and turnarounds to software commoditisation and technology solutions.
Prior to this time he was Electronic Gaming Director with The Gala Coral Group, which included strategic & development roles across their casino, betting and bingo businesses. Prior to joining Gala Coral, Peter spent 13 years in Operational roles in the Leisure Industry and has Theme Parks, Amusement Complexes and Holiday Centres in his list of successes. Peter has a Masters in Business Administration from Nottingham Trent University and also holds UK Gambling Commission Licences consummate with the UK Gambling Act 2005.
