The Gambling Business Group is the only fully cross sector forum for individuals and companies that have a financial interest in the UK Gambling sector. Meeting once a quarter, but also holding regular conference calls and producing monthly updates for members, the membership of GBG is as diverse as you would expect. Members come from Operators of gambling premises, On-line gambling providers, Manufacturers and most support business sectors such as Lawyers and Accountants.
The diversity of the membership of GBG is its key strength, issues are debated, communication strategies are agreed and policy is delivered on the basis of robust debate and discussion from both professionals and operators. Only in exceptional circumstances will GBG take a partisan approach to any issue and it has a track record of being able to take all its members with it on key industry issues.
Regular dialogue between the Chief Executive and industry stakeholders such as the Gambling Commission and the DCMS means that it has a reputation for providing honest and objective feedback to questions relating to national gambling policy and this means that its members are also recognised as a ‘go to’ resource for third party stakeholders.
Membership fees are based on a cost recovery basis only and central costs are low meaning that GBG provides excellent value for money. All members are welcome to attend any meeting or event and the organisational hierarchy is exceptionally flat.
If you derive some, or all of your income from the UK gambling industry GBG delivers excellent value.
