The GBG, formed in 2014, has an experienced and well-respected CEO at the helm in Peter Hannibal with over 40 years’ experience of working in the industry and GBG Chairman Steve Sharp who also has over 40 years industry career experience including with Gauselmann UK. Charlotte Meller, GBG’s General Manager has over 20 years of regulatory services policy experience in local and central government including working for the Gambling Commission for 9 years.

We have a diverse and inclusive membership with all B2C and B2B sectors of the UK land-based gambling industry and associated industries represented, as well as on-line including:

We have clear strategic aims but remain agile, adapting the strategy to meet new challenges and changes particularly to the land-based environment.

A range of Member groups are taking forward developments on cross sector topics such as responsible gambling, the reputation of land-based gambling, licensing and innovation.

At these meetings issues are debated, communication strategies are agreed and policy is delivered on the basis of robust debate and discussion from both professionals and operators. The GBG has a track record of being able to take all its members with it on key industry issues.

We work with and support other trade bodies where relevant and appropriate.
